International Workshop on Interdisciplinary Asteroseismology of CP Stars and Star Clusters
An international workshop fostering synergistic research between asteroseismology and stellar cluster studies to define strategies for future missions and datasets. Jointly organised by ARIES, Nainital, IIT Delhi & Delhi University, the workshop will take place from 15–18 March 2027 at Delhi University, South Campus, New Delhi.
Understanding how stars form, evolve and die is one of the main goals of modern astrophysics. Asteroseismology, the study of stellar internal oscillation, offers a unique window into the deep interiors of stars. Space missions such as Kepler, GAIA, TESS and high-resolution spectroscopic observations have revolutionized our understanding by detecting pressure and gravity modes.
Chemically peculiar (CP) stars are vital testbeds to understand interactions between pulsation, rotation, binarity, and chemical peculiarities. Meanwhile, star clusters provide ideal laboratories for testing stellar evolution theory with common ages, distances, and compositions.
